Pine Canyon is a gated, guard-entry community on the south side of Flagstaff, Arizona, set at about 7,000 feet among tall ponderosa pines. It's home to the private Pine Canyon Golf Club, walking and biking paths, and some of Flagstaff's most striking mountain-modern architecture. Rentals inside the community are rare, which is why we open Lone Tree to guests.
Who can rent in Pine Canyon?
Pine Canyon has different rules for short stays and longer leases:
- Pine Canyon members can book Lone Tree as a short-term rental, with a 3-night minimum (5 nights over Christmas and New Year).
- Everyone else is welcome to lease Lone Tree for 30 nights or more as a furnished monthly rental.

Pine Canyon short-term rentals
For members hosting family, golf buddies or a holiday crowd, Lone Tree sleeps 10 across four bedrooms, including two king suites, with 3.5 baths. Nightly rates start at $900 in low season (September 30 to April 30) and $1,100 in high season (May 1 to September 29). Weekly rates are $5,000 in low season and $6,500 in high season.
Short stays are popular for Northern Arizona University graduations and family weekends (NAU is about 5 minutes away), Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings, and summer golf trips.
Pine Canyon monthly leases
A furnished monthly lease is the easiest way to live in Pine Canyon without buying. Lone Tree comes ready to move into: a fully equipped kitchen with a professional-style double-oven range, a walk-in wet bar, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi and a workspace, smart TVs, and an attached two-car garage with extra length for gear.
Monthly leases are a great fit if you are:
- Escaping the Phoenix summer. Swap triple-digit heat for cool mornings and evenings in the pines from June to September.
- Relocating to Flagstaff or building a home and need a comfortable place while you get settled.
- Spending ski season up north, with Arizona Snowbowl about 30 minutes away.
- In Flagstaff for work, such as a visiting role at NAU or a medical assignment, and want more than an apartment.
2026–27 monthly rates: $11,000 from October to April, $18,000 in May, August and September, and $22,000 in June and July. Ask us about multi-month leases and return-visit rates.

All stays include a $400 cleaning fee and a $1,000 refundable security deposit. Applicable taxes are added. Pets by approval only.
A note on the golf club
Pine Canyon Golf Club is a private club. Golf, pool, fitness, tennis, pickleball, dining and other club amenities are not included with a rental unless access is specifically arranged or confirmed.
