Every summer, Arizonans head up the hill to Flagstaff. At about 7,000 feet, Pine Canyon sits in the ponderosa forest where summer highs are typically in the upper 70s to low 80s and nights cool off enough to open the windows. Lone Tree is a modern 4-bedroom home there, available for monthly summer stays.
Your summer at Lone Tree
- Room for the whole family. Four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, two king suites, sleeps 10, so kids, grandkids and friends can rotate through.
- Live outside. A covered patio with lounge seating, a stone-clad built-in grill, and a yard with disc golf and cornhole under the pines.
- Work if you need to. Wi-Fi, a workspace and smart TVs.
- Bring the toys. An extra-long two-car garage fits bikes, paddleboards and gear.
Summer around Flagstaff
Ride the Snowbowl gondola and hike the San Francisco Peaks (about 30 minutes away), stroll downtown and Route 66 for dinner (about 10 minutes), catch a night at Lowell Observatory (about 15 minutes), explore the cliff dwellings at Walnut Canyon (about 20 minutes), and take day trips to Sedona (about 50 minutes) and the Grand Canyon South Rim (about 90 minutes). July and August bring the monsoon: afternoon thunderstorms that roll through and leave the forest smelling of rain.
