A Flagstaff luxury rental in the pines

Lone Tree is a modern 4-bedroom home in Pine Canyon, 10 minutes from downtown Flagstaff, built for groups who want space, design and quiet forest views.

Most Flagstaff rentals are cabins or condos. Lone Tree is something different: a 3,202 sq ft mountain-modern home with walls of glass, soaring wood ceilings and two private king suites, set inside the gated Pine Canyon community.

What makes it a luxury stay

  • A great room built for gathering. Vaulted wood ceilings, clerestory windows and a two-story stone and steel gas fireplace.
  • A real cook's kitchen. Professional-style gas range with double ovens, a long quartz island with bar seating, a walk-in pantry and a walk-in wet bar with two beverage fridges.
  • Two king suites. The primary has a freestanding black soaking tub, walk-in glass shower, dual vanities and walk-in closet. The second suite has its own bath and a door to the patio.
  • Room for 10. Four bedrooms and 3.5 baths, including a full daybed with trundle and a room with two full beds for kids or friends.
  • Outdoor living. A covered patio with lounge seating, a stone-clad built-in grill, and a yard with disc golf and cornhole under the pines.
  • Privacy and security. A gated, guard-entry community with walking and biking paths.

Flagstaff through the seasons

Summer

At 7,000 feet, Flagstaff summers are warm days and cool nights, a welcome break from desert heat. Hike the San Francisco Peaks, ride the Snowbowl gondola, and come back to dinner on the patio.

Fall

Late September into October brings golden aspens on the mountain and crisp, clear days, ideal for hiking and day trips to Sedona or the Grand Canyon.

Winter

Arizona Snowbowl is about 30 minutes away. After a ski day, there's room for everyone's gear in the extra-long two-car garage and a fireplace waiting in the great room.

Spring

Quieter trails, sunny afternoons and easy access to Walnut Canyon, Lowell Observatory and downtown's restaurants and breweries.

Perfect for

  • Family reunions and multi-generation trips
  • NAU graduations, parents' weekends and games (about 5 minutes away)
  • Ski trips, holidays and Christmas in the mountains
  • Summer escapes and furnished monthly stays
  • Grand Canyon and Sedona road trips with a comfortable home base

Getting around from Pine Canyon

From the house it's about 10 minutes to downtown Flagstaff and Route 66, 15 to Lowell Observatory, 20 to Walnut Canyon, 30 to Arizona Snowbowl, 50 to Sedona and about 90 minutes to the Grand Canyon South Rim. Flagstaff is also the world's first International Dark Sky City, so on a clear night the stars over the back patio are worth staying up for.
